logoSupporting children and young people through loss and grief

Rainbows offers peer support to children and young people  in their local communities, as they seek to come to terms with grief and loss.

What Rainbows can do:

  • Help a child engage with their individual grief journey – to identify, name, understand, manage, express and share their feelings
  • Provide a safe setting to tell and retell feelings and thoughts, with trained listeners
  • Support children to come to terms with loss
  • Allow children to have a shared experience and identification with others feelings
  • Acknowledge the grief
  • support the rebuilding of self esteem, trust, confidence and resilience
  • Promote emotional growth
  • Provides a model of coping and support for the child

OUR RAINBOWS PROGRAMMES RUN  2 TIMES A YEAR WITH DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS & TOPICS RELATING TO LOSS….IF YOU WOULD LIKE SOME MORE INFORMATION ON WHAT PROGRAME IS COMING UP CONTACT US HERE AT THE CENTRE
